The ZAM Nelson Mandela Lecture, initially scheduled for 2026, has been postponed by one year and will now take place in February 2027.
This shift offers ZAM a welcome opportunity to build on the remarkable momentum of the 2025 edition, which featured investigative journalist John-Allan Namu’s keynote, Souls on Fire: The Global Quest for Freedom and Dignity — an address that resonated widely for its clarity, courage, and call to collective responsibility. Inspired by the depth and engagement of that gathering, ZAM is committed to ensuring that the next edition receives the time and space it deserves.
Taking inspiration from the last event, we will use the additional year to draw even more talent, energy, and creative vision from across our networks, shaping a 2027 edition that reflects the depth and resonance of Namu’s contribution. We look forward to sharing updates in the coming months and to welcoming you to an exceptional Nelson Mandela Lecture in February 2027.
Belangrijke datum voor 2027: de Nelson Mandela-lezing
De ZAM Nelson Mandela-lezing, oorspronkelijk gepland voor 2026, is met een jaar uitgesteld. De nieuwe datum is februari 2027.
Deze verschuiving biedt ZAM de welkome kans om voort te bouwen op het opmerkelijke succes van de editie van 2025 met de keynote 'Souls on Fire, the Global Quest for Freedom and Dignity' van onderzoeksjournalist John-Allan Namu. Deze toespraak vond brede weerklank vanwege zijn helderheid, moed en oproep tot collectieve verantwoordelijkheid. Geïnspireerd door de diepgang en betrokkenheid van die bijeenkomst wil ZAM ervoor zorgen dat de volgende editie de tijd en ruimte krijgt die het verdient.
Voortbouwend op het vorige evenement zullen we daarom het extra jaar gebruiken om nog meer talent, energie en creatieve visie vanuit onze netwerken te bundelen en een editie-2027 vorm te geven die de diepgang en weerklank van Namu's bijdrage evenaart. We kijken ernaar uit om de komende maanden updates met u te delen en u in februari 2027 te mogen verwelkomen bij een nieuwe, bijzondere Nelson Mandela-lezing.
