Art for ZAM

Your ongoing support enables African changemakers and creatives to work with even greater vigour in building fair and free societies for the future. To agitate against abuse of power and theft. And to shape a vision of a new relationship between Africa and Europe based on equality and autonomy. In the sixteen years of our existence, ZAM has developed a unique solidarity model that connects globally renowned artists and African creative thinkers. Artists donate their work to ZAM which we in turn offer to our subscribers, followers and supporters.

The proceeds from sales enable us to set up new research projects, artistic collaborations, investigations and events that bring the work of our creative community in Africa and the diaspora to audiences in the Netherlands and beyond.

Artists like Marlene Dumas, Anton Corbijn, Zanele Muholi, Berend Strik, and Nontsikelelo Veleko have all donated work in the past. This year we add Clifford Charles, Nat Mokgosi, Ignacio Gumucio, Patricia Kaersenhout, Ruan Hoffman, Meschac Gaba, Sindiso Nyoni and many more to the roster.
