In Algeria, a wealthy realtor, an ambitious neurologist haunted by memories of war and a young woman have to deal with the consequences of important choices made in the past. They are torn between ratio and emotion. The film Until the birds return (En attendant les hirondelles) gives a beautiful insight in the soul of contemporary Algerian society. This debut feature by director Karim Moussaoui was nominated for the Golden Camera and Un Certain Regard at Festival de Cannes 2017. In Dutch and French cinemas from the 9th of November.
